Taylor Swift Ringlets

6 Mar

I have been wondering how Taylor Swift does her hair for years.  Well, I purchased a Hot Tools tapered curling iron on friday and I can finally create those gorgeous ringlets!  Let’s just say it was a fabulous friday! It is easy and literally only takes five to ten minutes depending on how much hair you are working with.  Now I just need to grow my hair out…..

I was honored to be able to do the up-do’s for a fashion show my church put on Friday night so I got plenty of practice with my new find.

I realize that some of you probably think this is old news, but here in my neck of the woods we get the fashions a little late.  I was only tipped off to this tool last month by a friend, and then noticed someone purchasing it at the beauty supply store a few weeks ago.  SO, my kids will be wearing ringlets all over town and I will be beaming as I watch their hair boing and bounce!

This hair-do put a spring in her step!

Watch this video for a how-to and make sure if you are going to purchase a clampless curling iron it comes with a heat protectant glove.  This makes it much more easy to use.

Go to hottools.com to buy the Hot Tools brand or ask your stylist about it.  I like Hot Tools brand because, like the name says, they get hot!  You only have to hold the hair on for 10 seconds on medium heat.  I have had Hot Tools curling irons for over ten years that still work great!  If you find another brand you like and would recommend, I would love to hear about it.

Lilly looks so cute! I should get one of those hair curlers because I can’t do ringlets with my chi. Anywho, I am so happy that you posted again. Go Ruth! : )

Love it! I learned to do this at Thanksgiving, and have just been burning my fingers. The glove seems perfect!!!

I want one! I want one! So what size did you get? What model number is yours? I looked on the website and it seems there are tons. I’m clueless! And I love the tip about the glove. I’ve been using my Hot Tools curling iron and just wrapping my hair around the barrel and yes, my fingers have been burned a few times. Ouch!

ok, so I’ve been wanting a curling wand for a while now, but after reading your post, I decided that I needed to make the purchase! Before I tell you the one I bought, let me tell you how much I love it! Gracie’s hair never holds a curl for more than a couple of hours, but with this curling wand, she still had curls the next morning! And for me, I had to wash my hair 4 days later to get the curls out! I’m kind of a beauty product snob, and was completely surprised by how well the Revlon T-studio ceramic curling wand worked! For only $25 at Target…AND it’s pink. 🙂

NICE! Did it come with the glove? I would love to see pics of you and Gracie sporting such stylish ringlets!
